"Gourmet-homemade" cooking, combining tastes of our parents and grandparents meals, with a delicate touch (a nice detail of our cook).
Our menu (in charge of Inés, owner of La Aguada) include dishes prepared with recipes of her grandmother (born in Salta, northwest of Argentina), other "classics" of Catamarca and regional cooking, and, of course, some provided by our generous guests, who leave us their homeland specialties.
The delicious desserts include fruits of our place: guavas, quinotos, figs, freshly harvested. Definitely, we recommend trying them.
Outstanding:
We have an exhibition of vases, plates and bowls by Mariana Gutiérrez, pottery artist from Buenos Aires. Especially created for La Aguada, she used ashes from our fireplaces to give the pieces a sense of belonging with our place.
In our room dedicated to our indigenous site (La Aguada Culture), exhibition of beautiful handcraft from weavers and ceramists of Catamarca, made using ancient techniques inherited from the indigenous cultures that lived in our region.
